Kathleen has been teaching for a total of thirty-six years, and she has been coordinating here at West Deptford Safety Town for thirty-two years! One of the reasons that Safety Town has been so successful throughout the years is due to Kathleen and her endless dedication toward this amazing program. Kathleen is a West Deptford resident whose children have all been through the program, as students, and teen volunteers! To this day her daughter, Kelsie, is still heavily involved in running this program. She believes that teaching our youth about safety can not only be a fun experience, but a vital learning one as well, which is why she has selflessly dedicated many of her summers to West Deptford Safety Town!
Amanda Smith is a fourth grade teacher at Parkview Elementary School. She graduated from Saint Joseph's University in 2011- let's go Hawks! Amanda has spent previous summers working as a YMCA summer camp counselor or lounging at the beach in Cape May. She could eat tacos for every meal of the day. Amanda is so excited for her ninth summer with our Safety Town family!
Courtney Branham is a Second Grade teacher at Parkview Elementary School. She graduated from Rowan University in 2013 with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and American Studies. Courtney loves working with children of all ages and is excited to be a part of the Safety Town program for her seventh summer. In her free time, Courtney loves to read, spend time with her family, and take trips to Walt Disney World and Sea Isle City, New Jersey.
Stephanie Fanelli is excited to be a part of the West Deptford Safety Town family for her fourth summer. She is a 2017 graduate from The College of New Jersey, and when she’s not at WD Safety Town, you can find her teaching second grade at Parkview Elementary in Westville, NJ. Stephanie has been involved in West Deptford Safety Town as a Water Safety Volunteer since 2012 and has loved every minute of it! Her biggest dream is to help kids gain a love for learning, and what better way to do that than to teach them how to be safe while having some summer fun? She can’t wait to meet everyone!
Kelsie has been involved with Safety Town since birth, coming every summer with her mother, Kathleen. She has loved growing through the program, and she's loved helping the program grow. As coordinator, she has brought Safety Town into the 21st century, streamlining our application process, and coming up with new and creative ways to use the technology we are given. She is so excited to be here for her 28th summer with WDST and she looks forward to watching the program grow in our community.
